Is the park pet friendly? Are dogs allowed?
Yes, we’re pet friendly! Dogs are welcome at Magnolia Branch, but they must be kept on a leash at all times and are not allowed on the main beach.
Do you allow golf carts?
Yes, golf carts are allowed at Magnolia Branch. However, only licensed drivers are permitted to operate them, and they are not allowed on the beaches or sand dunes.
Do you allow ATVs/UTVs?
No, we do not allow ATVs or UTVs.
Are there designated trails for hiking and horseback riding?
Yes, MBWR features well-marked trails for both hiking and horseback riding. Contact us for more information.
Are there guided tours?
No, we don’t offer guided tours.
Are there any restrictions or rules I should be aware of?

How do I make a reservation?
The best way to make a reservation is by calling our office at (251) 446-3423. If we’re unable to answer or you call after hours, we strongly recommend leaving a voicemail so we can return your call. Our office is open daily from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, year-round.
Is there an entrance fee?
Park admission fees are $5 per person (ages 13 and up) and $1 per person (ages 12 and under). The entry fee includes swimming, picnicking, fishing, and daily admission to Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards. We also take cash.
What are your hours?
We’re open from 7:30 am to 4 pm every day, year-round, unless otherwise announced on our Facebook page. Visitors should call us at (251) 446-3423 or check our Facebook page for any closure announcements.
Can I camp along the banks for a short two- or three-day trip?
No, we don’t offer creekside camping.
Can I camp overnight at MBWR?
Yes, Magnolia Branch offers several camping sites that are available for booking. We have spots for RVs and primitive camping. Contact us for more information.
Are there any grills at the campsites?
We don’t have grills available on site, but you’re welcome to bring your own.
Are there any fire rings at the campsite?
Yes, we do have fire rings at most of our campsites.
Are there cabins to rent?
No, there are no cabins for rent. We also do not have campers or tents available to rent.
Do you have a store?
No, we don’t have a camp store.
Do you sell firewood?
We don’t sell firewood, but guests are welcome to gather their own while staying with us.
Do you have WiFi?
No, we don’t offer WiFi at this time.

No, you don’t need a reservation for tubing; however, reservations are required for kayaking and canoeing. Call us at (251) 446-3423
Can I kayak down the creek?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own kayaks. We also offer kayak rentals, but reservations must be made at least one day in advance. To reserve, call us at (251) 446-3423
How much does tubing cost?
Tubing costs $5.00 per person.
There is also an entrance fee:
* Ages 13 and up: $5.00
* Ages 12 and under: $1.00
So, the total cost to go tubing is:
* $10.00 for ages 13 and up
* $6.00 for ages 12 and under
Can I use my own tube to go tubing?
No personal tubes are allowed. Floaties for infants, toddlers and small children are acceptable.
When is tubing available?
Tubing is offered from the first weekend in May through Labor Day, with Labor Day being the final day of the season. Availability depends on weather conditions and creek levels, so we recommend calling ahead to confirm before your visit.
Do you have tubes with backs and bottoms?
We don’t have any tubes with backs, and we have a limited number of tubes with bottoms. Since we have a limited supply of tubes with bottoms, we do use discretion when handing them out. We try to save those tubes for families with small children.
Can you bring a small ice chest on a tube float?
No, we don’t allow guests to rent tubes for their ice chests, nor do we allow guests to bring in their own tubes.
Do I need a permit for fishing?
No license is needed to fish, just bring your poles and bait. Fishing is open year-round.
What kind of fish are in the ponds?
We stock our ponds with catfish, bluegill and shellcracker.
Do you sell fish bait?
We don’t sell fish bait, so be sure to stop by your favorite bait shop before you arrive.
